Camrose Centre Sure Start

This was the refurbishment and extension of a former school into a children’s centre in Northampton. The centre serves an area of particular challenge, and is located on two sites. The refurbished building provides a crèche, nursery, wrap around services and training facilities, and the new extension accommodates a lively toy library as well as staff facilities, reception and welcoming entrance. It was a complicated, low-budget project, but we worked closely with the Centre to provide modern facilities and make the most of the modernist character of the original school building. Completed in 2004.
